Sony Ericsson has always been known for the music functionality on all of their mobile phones, and now they have released their first smartphone that runs off of the Android operating system for mobile phones. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 has an 8.1 MP camera, a full 4-inch touchscreen, which makes watching youtube videos and live TV a piece of cake, and it also has Wi-Fi connectivity. The Wi-Fi capability is great when you don't have any service from your mobile carrier, but you are able to access any unsecured wireless internet signal near you to access your business or personal e-mails, and to web browsing. An update for the Android operating system will become available for the XPERIA X10 in the 3rd quarter of 2010. With the Android market on the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, you can download about 70% of the apps on the Android market for free. The apps range from playing games and GPS navigation, to social networking and having the ability to watch live TV right on your mobile phone. On April 1st, the XPERIA X10 was released in Japan, and became the quickest-selling smartphone on the Japanese carrier DTT DoCoMo. As of August 15th, the XPERIA X10 will be available on the AT&T network for $149.99 on a two-year contract. Now you can add this to the list of cheap mobile phones that are available on the AT&T network. |
